What kind of science vocabulary might be appropiate for ELL/Bilingual students?

They need the same vocabulary. The difference is in the supports & scaffolding. Do you have an ESL specialist at your school? They can help with strategies, like all the options listed in the SIOP training. Bonus: These strategies will help your other students too.

I feel that vocabulary should always be supported with pictures. A picture can say a thousand words for ELL students. I try to incorporate as many pictures into lessons as I can. I truly love vocabulary art made by students.
