Purdue University College of Science will be offering online professional development (PD) for middle school science teachers (grades 6, 7, 8) in July 2021. These will be hybrid PD sessions, with videos of hands-on activities and demonstrations, as well as live collaboration meetings. Each grade level PD will include explanations of lessons, activities that address various content standards, and integration of those activities into the science classroom. Certificates for Professional Growth Points will be provided based on participation. Each grade level PD will be one day and only those who are registered will have access to the content. We have 25 openings for kit registrations (for each grade level) and additional openings for non-kit receiving registrations.
6th Grade PD: July 20th
7th Grade PD: July 21st
8th Grade PD: July 22nd

NOTE: The kits include supplies to do all of the activities that are part of the PD. You can attend this PD without having the supplies. If you would like to do the activities yourself, you will either need to sign up for the paid registration to receive the materials or plan to purchase your own materials.

The registration fee for each grade level’s PD is $25 for kit materials to incorporate new content into their classrooms.
