Textbooks and hands-on investigation

Hello! I am a 4th grade math and sciene teacher. This is my second year teaching and I am struggling with finding the time to read our science textbook and get in some hands-on learning. I think that is a huge component to the learning process and puts what we are reading into perspective. With math being the focus of our day, I haven't quite figured out how to squeeze in some science investigation without feeling like I am going to fall behind. I use Generation Genius which my students love, and I can see and hear them making the connection to our readings, but it's still not the same as kinesthetic. Please share any helpful tips that work for you. Thank you!
