Today one of our district's curriculum coaches emailed me asking if I have seen a document about "Creating Science Rich Environments" in the elementary classroom. She sent a copy of one from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction about math environments, but the only thing I can find is information about early childhood science learning environments. First of all, I was glad to even get asked about building science rich environments in elementary school, since I find it is often the subject left out or given very little time to in the course of a school week. I'm asking for ideas, suggestions, and resources that could be used create a document or article centered around this topic. I have ideas, my thoughts on the subject, but would love to have some researched based ideas.
