I am currently teaching second grade science. I did a unit on physical properties with water specifically. We explored the different states of matter that water could be in and what are the physical properties of each state of matter. We also explored the mass between the different states of matter and how water evaporates when it is heated. We also explored how water expands when it is frozen and the volume of the water differs when that happens. What are some other ideas to further help my students explore with water and its different characteristics?
