The transfer of energy is always a topic that is difficult for students to grasp.  I am looking for literacy resources AND STEM resources that I can use as a springboard to the following topics for grades 6-8.  Any suggestions? 1.  How cells undergo processes to extract energy from cells 2.  COmpare and contrast structure and function of organelles 3.  How human body systems support the transfer for energy 4.  The role and relationship among producers, consumers, and decomposers in the process of energy transfer in a food web 5.  Investigate the process of photosynthesis (roles of light, carbon dioxide, water, chlorophyll, production of food, and release of oxygen 6.  Investigate how cellular respiration breaks down food to provide energy and release carbon dioxide 7.  Model the carbon cycle to show how matter/energy are continuously transfered 8.  Law of conservation of energy and mass
