Hi, there. I am taking a college course on how to teach science to elementary level students. I completely understand that teaching science is about experiencing and experimenting on the world around you. Is it difficult to assign science homework when the majority of the learning is happening in the classroom? How have you found the balance between keeping students on task outside of the classroom and engaged each time they step foot into the science classroom?
