Hello!
I am constructing a 5E lesson plan for 1st grade on identifying and comparing parts of plants. This is a new unit for them so I want them to be fully engaged and actively learning with this lesson. I was hoping to get some suggestions/advice/ideas on how to make this lesson hands-on and engaging for my students. I also wanted to know if anyone could recommend any books about the parts of a plant or videos to engage the students in the lesson. Thank you!
Hello Andrea,
I am also creating a 5E lesson plan on 1.10 B. Do you know how we should compare the parts of plants? I thought I had to teach the function so that students would be able to compare them but my professor said it was not alligned. Thank you!
Hello Gabriela,
For my explore, I brought out different types of flowers so that they could compare the different ways that plants have each of the parts.
