I have a question over classroom management. I am teaching kindergarten. I am having touble with having the having the students blurting out while I am trying to read. I keep telling the ones who do to stop talking that it is rude to talk over the teacher. I will also say put your hand done I am reading. My mentor teacher says I need work on my tone do you know any articles to help with this?

I'm sharing this from Gabe K.

You might consider asking your mentor teacher to recommend some other teachers in your building that you can observe so that you can see that there are a variety of ways teachers handle this situation. Even if it isn't your grade level, there is always something to learn from other teachers.
