Hi! I am currently a student working on my Science and Math Methods courses. This semester, I have taught my third graders about simple machines. What are some engaging ways that you have taught your third graders about simple machines? 

Simple machines often a favorite for third graders. In my network, we complete engineering design projects with machines. We create a problem where the students have to complete a task and build a machine to solve the problem (move an object from one place to another, etc.). It that is too much for right now, try an elaborate where students create a simple machine of their choice, in class, from recycled materials. This will teach them innovation and engineering while solidifying the simple machine content in their minds.
