A great elementary school experiment are magic goggles. In this experiment the students have to see colors through different colored filters. Some colors disappear when looked at through a specific filter. The students can then write secret messages to each other that can be read through the magic goggles. This is a very fun activity for elementary students. The students get to experience science is an awesome way. I am planning on using this experiment in my own science classroom.
Secret Message Science Goggles (Journal Article)
This sounds like such a fun experiment to do with children. You could even use this with older students to learn about color blindness. Many children don't understand how color blindness works but this could, in a sense, help them understand it.
This does sound like a very fun experiment. The kindergarten kids in the class I am observing would love this. They could work on writing as well as science. Great idea!
