As a future teacher, I often wonder how can students visualize and experience the concepts that we teach. Students, as we have found from both experience and observations, work best if there are hands-on activities available. Are field trips such as going to the petting zoo/zoo more beneficial for students or is bringing a live animal into the classroom a better option? The latter is often a limited option due to districts and state laws. How could we teach life science and help students make connections if those resources are not available?
