Feild trips can be a great tool for students to get a hands on idea of science ,but not all of them are equal. Does anyone have ideas for more unique ideas for feild trips?
The wastewater treatment plant!
We just got back from a field trip to our local university. Of course we visited the engineering and technology departments. I have a long working relationship with the dean of engineering and he sets up his students to guide my 4th and 5th graders through making polymers, prgramming electronics, and whatever else the students are working on for their senior projects. It's a great eye opener and the parents are always amazed at how exciting the visit is for their children.
