I chose to read this ebook because I have always been really afraid of getting sick from food. I also really love to cook so I felt as though this book would help me be able to recognize actions to take to be sure, I nor anyone else was ever sick from my cooking or my kitchen, better safe than sorry. I found the science behind food-borne illness very fascinating and a little scary. I already knew a lot of information in this book, for example the hand washing and the 4C's, however, there was a lot that I didn't know like how salmonella swims through the warm juices in our meat, nasty. The quizzes at the end of the sections are phenomenal reviews of the chapter and great for helping you get a feel for the final assessment. This book is great at getting to the point while still doing an amazing job at explaining everything in great detail without repeating itself.
