Scope on Safety: Safety and liability

Review of Scope on Safety: Safety and Liability
This article provides a set of quick and easy information that is important for teachers to know where safety and liability is involved. It talks about the legal responsibilities of the teacher, and how it is up to them to ensure that they are maintaining a safe classroom environment where science activities may take place safely for the students. The information in this article is excellent for future teachers to know about since it will provide them with the tools to become better prepared within the science classroom. The only complaint I would have about this article is that it is too short. If it contained more information about legal responsibilities, or more ideas on how to provide a safer classroom environment then that would be great.
Scientific Journals: A Creative Assessment Tool

Creative Assessment Tools
This article shows many excellent way for teachers to incorporate many aspects of language arts into a lesson. Connecting science and language arts is a great idea, and encouraging students to show their understanding through creative writing is much more meaningful than just a typical assessment such as an exam or test. I enjoyed reading about how students constructed their own poems, or wrote letters to scientists. This helps students to find a meaningful connection with the topics being discussed, and I can't wait to include these kinds of activities within my future science classroom.

Review of "A menu of options"
This article was an excellent source of information and advice for teachers in developing a science notebook for their students. It provided easy to follow ideas that help teachers with leading the construction of science notebooks, and also gave ideas for how to help struggling students in creating their notebook. What I enjoy the most about science notebooks is the idea that they provide a window for teachers to see into the student's thinking and understanding, as well as provide a place where students can record their questions and observations. This article is a great resource of ideas, and I will definitely keep it in mind when developing a blueprint for a science notebook in my future classroom.
