I love this idea Nicole! Children would have so much fun because its not everyday their in a pitch black learning environment. Doing something like this would be very memorable for the children.When looking back, an activity like this is what students will refer to when trying to remember why we have day and night, not something they read in the textbook! Kayla! I love the idea of the "flipped classroom". It turns actual class time into a more fun and interactive environment for the students to learn in. This strategy will also help eliminate the amount of talking/ listening and increase the amount of practice the students will have and they will actually have the opportunity to incorporate what they learned in the lesson. Earth, Sun, and Moon

Great Sci Pack!

This Sci pack is organized into a number of categories such as "the moving Earth" or the "Motion of the Moon" that helps make your search for certain information very easy! This Package also conveniently divides its information into grade levels. Not only is it a good source for teachers but it can also be a good interactive activity for the students. There are a number of visual aids and assessments included with each section, that give immediate feedback on your answer. I really enjoyed this Package!

Universe: The Universe Beyond our Solar System

Awesome Resource!

This is a great online resource for a broad source of information on the Solar System! There is a lot of information about stars, planets and many other concepts dealing with the Solar System. There are a interactive questions on almost every page, which give you feedback on your answer immediately! This source would be great to give to the students to learn all of these interesting facts about the Solar System! Only thing i would add to this source, are more videos to make it a more visual experience as well! Great source, I highly recommend it.
