The Early Years: Hear That?

Fantastic
This article really helped me kick off my science unit. It gave me a jumping point of some ideas for activities. I slightly changed the Stop and Listen activity. I had the students go to different places in the room while I made noises that they had to identify. It made them think about the sounds of objects that don't generally make sound in the classroom. As a class we made shakers due to the materials we had on hand. For the next time I teach sound I would like to make kazoos with the students, I think the sound and the feeling of the vibrations would more on next the concept over a shaker.
