Hi! I am Travis Miller. My students call me Mr. Miller or Coach Miller. I am the STEM Learning Coordinator at Fairmont State University. Previously I was an assistant professor of Professional Education and Physics at West Liberty University. I think of myself more of a coach to my students. In the past I was a football and track coach at both the high school and at the college level. I see a lot of similarities in coaching as I do in teaching. I do not just give students answers I guide them through their questions and activities. I teach education, science education and physical science courses. I am at the end of my doctorate at WVU (EdD in curriculum and instruction, specializing in science education). I have a Bachelors degree in secondary education: general science 5-12, math 5-9. I have a masters in secondary education: specialization in math and science education. I am certified to teach in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

I am thinking about using NSTA as an ebook for my future elementary teachers and your post is very encouraging to go ahead with my plan. THANKS
