A Science That Saves Lives

Exactly what I was hoping for
As a beginning teacher, I often turn to NSTA for ideas on lessons. This lesson was so perfect for my class, I really could not ask for more! While working on a Forces unit with my IPS class, I stumbled across a very interested video on the "evolution" of the crash-test dummy by BBC. So many of my kids enjoyed the video, and it was the perfect segway into this project. I had an idea of what I wanted my kids to do, but finding this lesson was a perfect fit and had really elevated my own ideas to the next level. While I modified the lesson to fit my class (and available materials), I kept many of the same questions and even built my track the same way. And I accidently impressed my principal through the process. Thanks for sharing!!
