STEM Project
This resource is great for a year long physics/physical science project. Students engage in their learning when they are able to apply concepts and put them into action. In this particular project, they are designing and building a solar powered car. I am a huge fan of project-based learning. The resource provides a very good break down of guiding questions as well as concepts in a summary chart that can help guide the implementation of this particular project. For me being a fairly brand new physics teacher, I would find it helpful to have a little bit more guidance in terms of resources and how to implement this into my curriculum. I'm also wondering how this particular project can be modified to help schools who are on a semester system instead of year long class. These projects take a lot of time, and I'd like to be able to find ways to implement them effectively if we are in a smaller time frame.
