Basis of Life Review
The Basis of life: Elementary is excellent! It teaches early childhood students the basics of life. It focuses on what is alive and what isn't alive. Its great for emphasizing the importance of knowing what is alive. I was able to understand the way it explained everything and gave me great insight. It included types of cells, DNA, protein synthesis, and the emphasize of making things bigger using magnification so that we could observe correctly. It had archives which really demonstrated great images from direct cells. It forces children to think before and after and what a cell is made of. I would definetly use this teaching in my future years when I am a classroom teacher to introduce the cell and its function. Knowing what is living and what is not living is an important lesson for the young children's to learn at an early age.
