My NSTA / Peers / Jasmine Benitez

My name is Jasmine Benitez and I am a Senior at FIU. I am an Elementary Education major and I can not wait to have my own classroom. I will be doing my internship in the Fall of 2013. I am currently a tutor and I love my job. I hardly consider it work. In my spare time I love to be with my friends and family. That includes anything from going out to staying in and just talking. I love music. I play the piano and i am currently learning how to play the guitar. It's my favorite way to let off some steam or just take up my free time. I also love taking pictures. Photography is the only form of art I can somewhat do. I have a miniature Dachshund who has made me into a pet lover. Her name is Bella. I got married in November of 2012 and though I am young it was the best decision I have ever made. We couldn't be happier. :)

Earth, Moon, and Beyond

This collection is wonderful! According to her description, this collection focuses on the Earth, moon, and space. Her resources reflect just that! She does not simply focus on one topic, but on all three. She has sources speaking about the earth, phases and motion of the moon, and the seasons and why/how they occur. It is a well rounded collection full of different resources. From SciPacks, to Science Objects, Journal Articles, Book Chapters, and even a podcast. She seems to be taking her lesson and collection very seriously. I know she will do excellent on her field assignment with these wonderful sources. Good job, Rachel!
