Helpful in the classroom

I thought this was a great resource for teachers. I like how this SciGuide is setup. It makes it easy to find topics teachers are looking to cover in the classroom. It provides just enough information on different topics to give teachers more background but not too much information so that it becomes overwhelming. There are lesson plans in each section that give you plenty of resources to use in the classroom. I think it's a great tool for using in a classroom that is discussing the solar system. I would recommend any teacher to add this to their library immediately.

Overall Some Useful Information

This chapter does give some informative information on how to teach all the different grade levels in elementary school. However, I think it would have been more useful for some more in depth lesson plans. I did like some of the options for assessments in the chapter though. I would love to use them with some of my students. The one downside is that the lessons are brief and may require teachers to research a little more on how they want to do the lesson. Overall this resource is good for information on science standards for elementary school teachers but I would have liked to see a little more details on the lessons provided.
