Hi! I am a field student with one year left until I have my own classroom. I greatly enjoyed this read. I outlined a learning center of nonliving, living, human-made, and natural objects. I enjoyed that this worked its way through the 5E Plan. I also thought this read highlighted the importance of asking good questions to our students. We want them to discover things on their own, guiding questions can help lead the way toward where we want our students to go. I also like that this would serve as hands-on experience with written observations and diagram-drawing. It was well-aligned with NGSS standards. I feel like I could incorporate something very similar to this, or simply a centers-based activity mirroring such in my classroom one day.
