And how can educators support students to engage in these rich conversations, not just to deepen their conceptual understanding, but to help create a sense of belonging in a classroom community? Join Rebecca Abbott, professional learning and literacy lead from the science curriculum development team at UC Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science, to explore these questions.
In this interactive presentation, sponsored by Amplify, we’ll analyze examples of K-8 students engaging in various discourse strategies and routines as they work to figure out real-world phenomena. Teachers will have an opportunity to see how these strategies might apply to your classroom context.

After watching this seminar I now am educated on how engage students in science classroom. Science is not always the most favorite subject, but it can be when you engaged the students correctly. There were many great methods that led to engagement. I also enjoyed learning about the pheromones and how you can attract students using those pheromones. I really enjoyed this seminar and I learned about. I was grateful to hear from talented educational professionals.
