Resistivity Equation

by: Michael Horton

Resistance is how much an object resists the flow of electrons. This depends on the material (its resistivity) and the size and shape of the sample being tested. In this lab, students will determine whether resistance is directly or indirectly related to cross-sectional area and length and then calculate the resistivity of graphite.
