This article gives a very clear explanation of how which north is determined on earth and also on other planets. Figure 3 is very useful in illustrating this concept. But there is a mistake in Figure 3. After talking to the author, the reviewer of this article has a correction for readers of the article. The North Ecliptic Pole on the top right of the figure should read North Celestial Pole. Also included in the article is information of a comet that will be visible in mid March by people in the northern hemisphere.
