Just as changes in music delivery have radically altered the music business, dramatic changes in the workplace have required rethinking the way our schools work. To develop 21st-century skills, we must create classrooms that foster creativity and encourage divergent thinking—through student inquiry, complex problem solving, and open-ended research. Like the music industry, schools today must reinvent themselves, evolving to meet the challenges of a changed world.
