The web page itself provides interactive (Flash) guide of the different types of stars and how each is formed, matures, and ends its life-cycle. The information is at a high school level and additional links provide additional information on any one of the different stages. Even though this article is several years old, the CXC website is still found at http://chandra.harvard.edu/edu/formal/stellar_ev/ and the lessons discussed are still relevant for high schoolers today. This is a wonderful application of the electromagnetic spectrum and also shows how NASA studies stellar evolution. The lessons described would be perfect for an Earth Science class or one could also use it as an extension of emission spectra for a chemistry class.
