This article is fantastic to read! This particular one allows the author to show inquiry implemented into the content for the students to enjoy an awesome learning experience. I personally enjoy the self evaluation in order for students to know their familiarity of the property of gases. In addition to the self evaluation, the 5-E's lesson planning was used for students to investigate properties of gases as well as rubric for the specific lab activity.

This is a ‘must read’ article! The author shows how and explains why she combined content and inquiry learning into a fun and engaging learning experience for her high school students. I think this lesson could be modified and used in middle school as well. Following a 5 E lesson plan format, the students explored various questions having to do with properties of gases. The author includes a rubric for the lab activity and a self-evaluation form that her students used to reflect on their individual lab performances.
