This article presents two very good lesson ideas for introducing the needs of seed for germination and growth using inquiry. These are activities that students enjoy and can be adapted to include measurement activities for math integration and already address LA integration.

This article was very helpful from the perspective of a college student learning to teach in an elementary classroom. There was enough information in this article to design experiments at any of the k-6 grade levels. It was also interesting to see that the article addressed the idea of using different types of seeds when teaching students. This is something that I see correlating well with the NGSS and taking a second grade lesson that I did to another level of exploration.
