Inquiring Minds Want to Know All About Detergent Enzymes

by: Carolyn A. Hayes

This enzyme unit demonstrates how students can learn using inquiry and questioning techniques. By providing students the opportunity to share ideas, evaluate problem statements, develop hypotheses, design experiments, and make conclusions, they acquire the skills to be productive in their scientific and technological worlds. Active involvement in learning definitely helps students learn science concepts. The planned question sequence provides the teacher tools to learn what students already know and to lead them to new levels of understanding.
