Guest Editorial: You may be the only scientist your students will ever know

Unfortunately, in too many classrooms nationwide, thousands of students don't get the opportunity to watch, wonder, or ask questions about the world around them. This month's Guest Editorial discusses the struggle to teach science in K-12 classrooms. It also addresses the negative impact that the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) act has had on students' ability to understand science concepts and prepare them for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
