Who says that art and science don't mix? Art provides students a way to visually represent their scientific knowledge and at the same time helps teachers assess student understanding. The author, a high school chemistry teacher, includes at least one art project activity in every unit. Possible activities include a ph project, mole cartoons, entropy illustrations, chromatography, atomic model mobiles, and others, which are featured in this article.
