Designed to Invent: Camp Invention, A 21st-Century Program

With the support of foundations and corporations, Invent Now works to provide programs for all children, including traditionally underrepresented groups such as girls, minorities, inner-city youth, and families who lack the financial resources to pay the registration fee. In this chapter, the authors review the Key Program Components.

Camp Invention curricula contain the following key components:
1. Immersion
2. Create, Test, and Recreate
3. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
4. 21st-CenturySkills
• Creativity and Innovation
• Teambuilding and Collaboration.
