Sometimes safety issues are not so obvious for both the student and the teacher. While working on simple projects and models students may fail to be aware of basic safety issues. In this article the author points out eighteen safety guidelines to be considered. Some are as simple as awareness of sharp object issues such as the use of scissors. Others are more complex and rely on awareness of student health issues. The list is comprehensive and I believe a teacher should go over these with students before starting any classroom or group project.
