This article previews two trade books, "Follow the Water From Brook to Ocean" and "Earth Then and Now: Amazing Images in Our Changing World". The first trade journal, "Follow the Water From Brook to Ocean", helps K-2 students explore the Frameworks core idea of 'How and Why is the Earth constantly changing?' by using simple text and illustrations to explain how water travels from brooks to oceans. The second book, "Earth Then and Now: Amazing Images in Our Changing World", helps 3-6 students build upon their prior knowledge to gain a more comprehensive understanding of how the geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere interact. This trade book focuses on the wide range of factors that cause changes to Earth's surface. This is shown by using 2-page spreads with before and after pictures, including captions and dates.
