The evidence provided in this article clearly conveyed the importance of integrating science and mathematics concepts within the classroom. The idea of interdisciplinary teams seems to be crucial to developing more of a sense of community in middle schools. The data provided in this article is hard to dispute, and I find the idea of housing very interesting. However, I believe that having the teachers in this study receive prior training could have been helpful. If teachers were more prepared to implement the program, the program may have seen even more success! I plan on incorporating many of the concepts discussed in the article into my future classroom, such as problem solving, experimentation and investigation. I would be interested to read more into this program and learn more about the practices implemented. Teachers of all grade levels can benefit from integrating subjects in their classrooms.
