This article describes a technique that teachers learned in a weeklong workshop. It is on how to use formative assessments in kindergarten classrooms. The article gives background information and then describes how one teacher used the method in her classroom. It was a lesson on how different types of wood react when water is dropped on it. The teacher only used two types of wood. I believe more types of wood could have been added to this lesson to expand it and give more data.
