I was impressed with the background information with higher level questions provided. Figure 2 illustrating the process of taking cellulosic plant biomass to converted biofuel is easy to interpret for all students. The resource section provides even more references that could be utilized.
Exceptional overview of the student lab investigation. Well thought out and presented in a format that makes it really clear what the expectation for student and teacher is, as well as materials needed for the lab. My only concern is the equipment needed to complete the lab investigation. I am wondering if there is data available for students to use in place of actual acquired data. It would also be useful if video was available of the equipment being used in the lab as the lab is being performed. That would allow equity and access for students to the richness of the lab even if they didn’t have access to the equipment.
