I am currently studying to become an elementary school teacher. While shadowing my assigned teacher she explained that her curriculum while teaching physical science involved little to no outdoor activity since she stated that there is no use for the outdoors when teaching physical science. I am a fan of outdoor activities and would like to know if there are indeed no ways of using the outdoors to teach physical science.
Try this link from the state of Minnesota. I think it might have some ideas for you. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/education/teachers/activities/physical_science.html
Thanks for the link. I will pass it along. I was teaching 7th/8th grade science and I think the 8th grade teachers will like to use some of these activities.
