I believe this is a geat way to teach students about diversity. Using animals to start out creates a picture in their head that diversity is a normal thing and such a great thing as well too! This can eventually lead them into seeing diversity in their own classrooms and easily accepting it.

Hi Kaitland, I also think that is a great idea!  I think students most students have had some form of pets and can make the connection that not all cats or dogs look alike, but yet know matter what they look like they are still cats or dogs!  What a great idea of transitioning from animals to humans.  Love that idea!!  Can you share the link?  Thanks for sharing!
