Creating and intergrating curriculum for science is fun and interesting to get the students engaged, but when approached with ELL's in the classroom, they may not have the background knowledge to grasp the information needed. What are some strategies I can implement in the lesson so the students can better understand the curriculum and be more engaged?
Hi Kristen,
The way that I engage my ELL's is providing lots of visuals with the word written in English and Spanish. I am fortunate that I can speak the language that is my ELL's first language, so I do translate the content in order to give them a better understanding.
