Hi everyone, working with elementary school children seems exciting and giving them the opportunity for hands on activites is that much better. But what if the parents are a little reluctant to allow their child to participate in the acitivity and request to take part in the lab as well, just for precautions. Is that allowed? If so, are there resources available on ideas for labs that include the participation of parents? Thank you
My first thought is no, and that parents should understand that the teacher is a professional educator and would only provide activities that are age-appropriate and relevant to the science content. Confirm that you have admin support on this.
What is the activity that the parent is concerned about?
