Hello everyone.
I am wondering if anyone has any tips on how to make science lessons that are cohesive for students. I want my students to be able to make connections between topics so that they can build on what they know.
I have been very pleased with keeping kids focused with kids by formative assessments, asking lot of questions about the last lesson. Just reviewing and making connection and I introducing hands on activities. Using a Stem model helps a lot .
Hi, Julia-
My colleagues and I published an article in Science & Children called 'What's the Story? Building Coherent Conceptual Storylines' that might be helpful-- I'd be happy to chat with you more one-on-one if you'd like!
