How can I as a future teacher help students to learn about the different types of energy?

Sarah--

Welcome to the joy of teaching elementary science! There is nothing like it.

I'm sure there are a lot of resources out there, but I recommend trying The NEED Project.

The 'National Energy Education Development Project' began in the 80's and 'has grown to encompass a curriculum portfolio of 100+ teacher and student guides designed to engage and teach teachers and students about energy.' All of their resources focus on helping kids understand the various forms of energy and energy transformations, and they have resources for K-12 students.

I was lucky enough to attend their summer week-long professional development conference last summer and it was AMAZING! If you ever get a chance to attend, I hightly recommend it! The summer of 2024 the conference will be in Philadelphia.
