Collection Review (Dr.Sparrow- SCE4310)
From the list of collections, my favorite collection is Organisms & Their Environment by Rachel Eiras, which is why I chose to review it. Her collection includes articles and texts that are relevant towards my concept for the upcoming teach. Rachel chose readings on a variety of organisms, such as: saltwater fish populations, honeybees, butterflies, ladybugs, plants, and even what organisms live in soil. Her selection covers animals that live in different environments and have different needs for survival. In having that background knowledge, she will be able to design her 5E Inquiry lesson and be well informed, which will be helpful if asked any questions by the students. She picked one really good book chapter that explains human influence on population of aquatic animals. From reading information in her selections, you can gather that organisms depends on one another and their environment to meet their needs.
