I love field trips with kids! Teaching science with field trips engages students tremendously! Some places students are able to go on a field trip are: Museums, IMAX theatres (Educational), Zoo, Beach, Botanical Gardens, Planetorium, Aquarium, and Virtual Field trips

Marissa Mendez's 6 resources for Lessons Collection

I enjoyed reading Marissa’s collection on Living/Nonliving Things and Forces of Motion. Se includes a variety of resources that may be used by elementary students including chapters from books and journal articles. All of the files she used were PDFs which makes it easily assessible for students to use and read through. The articles she used also included many visuals, which is important when teaching science to young students. When they have something to refer to when learning new concepts, they usually remember longer and have something to refer to when thinking back to their prior knowledge.
