I am a pre-service teacher who has recently been introduced to using workshops in science lessons. I would love to hear your success stories, ideas, not-so-successful stories or advice related to using workshops in science lessons, or any lessons for that matter. I hope to teach grades first through third, but I am open to hearing all and any advice!

I am a pre-service teacher and I found all of these ideas very inspiring! I have copied and pasted them to my “future teaching ideas” folder and I look forward to implementing them in my own future teaching career. Would anyone have any recommendations on the most efficient way to have students track this data over the course of the year (science journals, digitally)?

Ruth, I loved your ideas. I am a pre-service teacher, and I recently conducted a workshop on air and weather. Within the workshop students were required to first estimate, and then look up, weather temperatures for locations all around the world using the website accuweather.com.
