Collection Review
I enjoyed this collection and saved some of the articles in my library. The collection included a variety of lessons using interdisciplinary subjects such as, reading which was included in the journal article, Teaching Through Trade Books: Can You See Me Now? This is great for elementary students in K-3 grade to learn about animal survival by camouflaging, which also exposes them to new vocabulary words as well. I also thought the book chapter on the Functions of Living Things had a helpful assessment to find out the students' ideas on the functions of plants and animals in maintaining life. This is a great exercise for students and informative. I will definitely use some of these reading materials and the assessment for my classroom. Great job!
